Erick Mijares
Hip Hop Director & Instructor

Erick Mijares currently holds a black belt and has taught martial arts since the age of 13. He has also coached Hockey for 4 years for the Youth league ages 8-12 and belongs to a National Award winning hockey team. As a dancer he won the Michael Jackson Impersonation Contest featured at the recent Jabbawockeez's convention held here on Oahu.

He's attended Master Workshops taught by well known dancers and choreographers Crazy Legs, Ken Swift, Fever One, Mari Koda, Jeffery Daniels, and is the assistant to Skillroy "Roy Ramey" Advance B-Boy and B-Girl classes. Erick also co-directed the YMCA community play "Grease" and has been teaching dance at the YMCA and choreographed several year end productions.

He is an A-plus leader for the Mililani YMCA (Mililani Ike Elementary After School Program). He is a Mililani High School Graduate and loves to play guitar and piano. Erick's motto "In everything you do, make sure it's all for love." Erick is attending the University of Hawaii West Oahu and majoring in Elementary Education. He enjoys working with kids and looks forward to making your child a star.
