Jael Andresen is a native of Arizona and has been dancing for 25 years. She began her training at the age of six in her home town of Mesa, AZ. Her love for ballet continued to grow and at age nine she started training under the keen eye of renowned ballet instructor, Nadja Langenhorst at Jeane's School of Dance. In 1997, she was welcomed to join Ballet Etudes Youth Company and carried out four seasons performing lead roles in productions such as Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Peter Pan, La Sylphide, Cinderella and many more. At 15, Jael received a scholarship to attend Ballet Magnificat's summer intensive program in the state of Mississippi. She then went on to train and perform with Experience Arts School in Mesa, AZ for five seasons where she participated in many original full-scale musical and dance productions. Jael also trained and performed at the Yen Li Chen Ballet School completing lead roles in Coppelia and La Bayadere.
At 18, Jael was invited to continue her dance education at the Milwaukee Ballet School on scholarship. For two consecutive summers Jael participated in the six-week-long pre-professional summer course in the program's highest level. After receiving an associate of arts degree from Scottsdale Community College, Jael was admitted to the School for Classical and Contemporary Dance at Texas Christian University as a ballet major, one of the nation's top schools for ballet and dance education.
After many years of training in the art of ballet, Jael found true joy in dance instruction and began to pursue a career in teaching. She is now dedicated to imparting the value of the purity of ballet technique and the importance of it's application to all dance forms. It is Jael's goal to share her enthusiasm for ballet and to excite and stimulate every student she has the pleasure of instructing.
