is a self-taught freelance graphic designer and vector artist, born and raised on the island of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. She started off with an interest in traditional art as a child, but later on by the age of 13, discovered her new found love for the digital art world through graphic design.
After high school, she was finally able to share her art with the public by displaying her work in various art shows on Oʻahu and on the Big Island. Her work thrived in the art scene, and through it, she has met many other creative-type individuals that helped launch her freelance graphic design business, Design Freedom Hawaii
. In March of 2013, she held her last art display. Participating in art shows were the highlight of her late teens/early twenty's, but as time went on, she decided to redirect her focus and devote her time to further her career as a graphic designer. Since 2006, she has designed for numerous clients both locally and on the mainland, ranging from small business owners, boutiques, churches, musicians, and more. Although she designs for people across the country, she is most fulfilled working within her local community, such as local brands HE>i and The Boutique Hilo, and Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winners Ben & Maila, and Maryanne Ito.
Janice originally joined the PDD ʻohana in 2012 as an admin. Although she loved helping families at the front desk, she wanted to solely focus on her graphic design career. A few years later, she switched over to become PDD's in-house graphic designer.
For as long as she can remember, Janice always knew what she wanted to do when she grew up; she's always been a dream chaser. And through her philanthropy business, REVO Oahu
, she is fortunate enough to combine the three biggest dreams she's been pursing all her life: share her art with the world, use her talents to serve a greater purpose, and to become an aspiring entrepreneur. At REVO Oahu, Janice, along with her team of dedicated volunteers, put together fundraisers for various non-profit organizations. She hopes to inspire and encourage those around her, especially young adults, to utilize their talents in helping make a positive impact in this world.
Like so many others, PDD has become her second home. She loves being able to see how much it has grown and is grateful to be a part of PDD's journey!
